In this house, lived the poet and writer Anica Žemlja, (pseudonym Goričanka), one of the first Slovenian fairy-tale writers.

Poet and writer Anica Žemlja (18751922) published many of her works under the pseudonym Mira Mokriška. Between 1907 and 1915 she lived in Volčja Draga, where she felt most welcome, and the time she spent here marks her creative peak. The memory of the happy days in Gorizia stayed with her even after she returned to Ljubljana. She published her work in Slovenka and Dom in svet (Home and the World) magazines. Žemlja also wrote fairy tales and poems for children, and published a book of fairy tales Pravljice (Fairy Tales, 1913) in collaboration with Ljudmila Prunk

She published the poem Prijateljici (To my friend) under the pseudonym Goričanka.
